Women in the Band World is a history of the Women Band Directors International 50th Anniversary - 1969-2019. Gladys Stone Wright was the founder and served as the first president. The first annual meeting was at the Midwest Band Clinic in Chicago with 19 women band directors in attendance. Historical information for the first 25 years is included with a focus on second 25 years.
